Five Faves: Warrior Cat Books

The Warriors Books, commonly called The Warrior Cats books, have been a beloved series for many readers. Filled action and adventure, love and heartbreak, battles and prophecies, it's no wonder that readers for generations have come to love these books about wild and gone-wild cats. The following books are for those wanting to get into the Warrior Cat series but feel daunted by the great number of books and series. Most of these adaptations of the original series books made into graphic novels created by dedicated teams of artists and writers to bring The Warriors books to a new generation. All are books that new and old fans of the series will love. This list also includes a new series by Erin Hunter, a book about magical cats. By the way, did you know that Erin Hunter is a pen name? Adapting the first books in The Prophecies Begin series, Into the Wild and  Fire and Ice, this is a great introduction to the world of Warrior Cats.

This is a great book for anyone wanting to know the indepth lore and workings of the Warrior Cats.

Luna finds friendship in the animals they meet in the park, strange and secretive animals that unlike Luna's abilty to use magic. Luna thinks they have found a new home in this world of magic but Willow isn't convinced and has no itnerest in joining their fight against the human witches seeking to "bind" the magical animals to them. The two sisters find themselves on opposite sides as they descover their own unique magic, destiny seperating them as they hold the fate of this city in their paws. This is a books for those looking for more magic with their cats.

  The House with Nobody in It By Jon Klassen Somerville, Massachusetts: Candlewick Press, 2026. Board Book.  The House with Nobody in It may very well be your child's first ghost story. The simple story begins with the narrator explaining to readers that this house used to have someone in it, but there is now nobody there. Toddlers and preschoolers will love contradicting this statement as they peek through the house that the board book forms, as the ghost is clearly visible throughout the story.  This unique and imaginative board book is the perfect thing to read during Halloween season! The book itself plays into the experience, with cutouts and clever turns that make it especially interactive. The illustrations are superb, simple but well crafted, adding to the story's theme as a whole. This will likely be a book that gets many repeat reads!
