Each month we have two book clubs for kids at the Provo City Library! These book clubs are especially designed for kids ages 9-12 and a caregiver. This September, our Guys Read book club will meet September 22 and our Girls Read book club will meet September 27. You can preregister for these programs on the library calendar online, beginning September 1!

This graphic novel memoir of popular Utah-based author Shannon Hale follows Shannon as she grows up from kindergarten to fifth grade and the friends she makes, loses, and keeps along the way. When Shannon's best friend Adrienne becomes friends with the popular girls in school, Shannon is dragged along through the social politics of elementary school. The colorful and cartoony illustrations are a perfect match for the story and make this a popular graphic novel for kids navigating growing up.
