Today is National Taco Day! If you are like me, you LOVE to eat tacos! In honor of this fantastic food, I want to share some of the fun books that the library has for taco lovers. Try these tasty stories!
Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin illustrated by Daniel Salmieri
This is a classic taco-lover book. Basically, it is about a whole bunch of dragons who love to eat tacos so much that things tend to get very hot when the spicy salsa gets on a dragon’s dinner plate. Bonus: there is a sequel!
It’s Raining Tacos by Parry Gripp illustrated by Peter Emmerich
This is a song in a book—and if you want to hear the song head over to YouTube to listen. Essentially, this is just a silly song in a book celebrating how fun it is to eat tacos!
Let’s Taco About How Great You Are by Bob Holt
If you want a young reader to find a book filled with puns and uplifting advice and encouragement, this is the book for you. Although it isn’t totally about tacos, the food-fun puns are worth a look.
Little Taco Truck by Tanya Valentine illustrated by Jorge Martin
This is a little more serious of a taco book. The taco truck loves serving workers on Union Street but is worried when other food trucks arrive if anyone will still want tacos.
Pizza & Taco: Who’s the Best? By Stephen Shaskan
In this silly comic book Pizza and Taco are trying to figure out which food is better—and then they have to define what being the best really means.
