All of our lives changed in some way during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many people all around the world stayed at home to slow the spread of the virus. This book is about what people did while they stayed home and how that time changed them. It mentions the fun and relaxation as well as the shadows that haunt some people. The fun, quirky illustrations are friendly. The beautiful poem by Kitty O'Meara was written as a way to cope with all of the uncertainties that have plagued us all and I think it does a beautiful job at making readers feel seen. When you read this book with your child, you can definitely find a couple of things you did at home. And when you do, you'll hopefully feel like you aren't so alone.
