In the mood for a high interest informational book chock full of gorgeous photographs?  Look no further than this new biography of Dale Chihuly!  Whether you're familiar with Chihuly's unique exhibitions that explode with color, or are new to his art and his melding of nature and the man made, you're in for a real treat.

Greenberg and Jordan present a great balance between biographical facts and the personal experiences that helped shape Chihuly into a renowned artist -- one that has wowed audiences across the world for nearly 50 years.  His tenacity in the face of challenges (including the appearance of his trademark eye patch) and the resulting modifications to how he creates are inspirational.  These stories provide a wonderful opportunity for discussion about determination, perseverance, and the benefits of teamwork.  But more than anything, kids will likely find the abundant pictures of Chihuly's art vibrant, mesmerizing, and just plain FUN.
