Imagine that you were a young kid living in New York City. Imagine that you wanted to go down to the Museum of Modern Art. Imagine what would happen if while you were in the museum some of the illustrations in the paintings started to come to life. If you can imagine all of that, then you will understand the premise of Colón’s newest book.

Here is the thing, this book is powerful. It shows off the power of illustrations—especially since it has beautiful illustrations displaying how pictures can make a powerful impact. The textures and colors and imagination just flow throughout the story. Young readers will enjoy thinking about what would happen if what they drew came to life—think of this almost like the grown up book sibling to Harold and the Purple Crayon. Really, this is one powerful book demonstrating the power of a kid’s imagination.
