Her twin sister, Sasha, is already serving a life sentence for stealing from the royal family, and Valor is determined to help her escape. But the prison may be more than she bargained for. To get her sister out, Valor will have to deal with freezing temperatures, hungry wolves, frightening guards, hostile fellow prisoners and angry royals.

This is a fast-paced, middle grade adventure story set in a winter landscape of warring queendoms. Valor’s intelligence, bravery and fierce love for her sister add depth to the exciting action sequences. The ending is satisfying but leaves room for the sequel, Seeker of the Crown, just out this month!
