Rain
By Sam Usher
Templar, 2017. Picture book.
A little boy can’t wait to go outside and play in the rain, but Granddad says it’s best to wait for it to stop. They wait and wait but the rain doesn’t stop. Finally, Granddad needs to mail a letter and so they both set out into the downpour. Thus starts a great water adventure with gondolas, acrobats and musicians. The best things are always worth waiting for.
This is the second in a four book series about weather written and illustrated by Sam Usher, and it celebrates not only rainy days but also the special bonds between grandparent and child.
