I Am the Book isn't checked out as much as it should be. The illustrations are big, bold, and childlike, while the text is large and easy to see for young readers. Each of these poems by a variety of authors is a simple and enjoyable celebration of the reading experience. Any child interested in poetry--or parent hoping to interest their child in poetry--should consider checking this one out.
