When a dog looks into a hole in the wall he sees another dog. However, each of his animal friends, in turn, look into the hole and see something different. They are all so sure of what they see that they are angry with one another for lying. When they finally all look together, they realize that they are all right!

A Hole in the Wall is a simple yet thought-provoking story with clear and simple illustrations that children will enjoy. Included at the end of the book is “A Fable” by Mark Twain which inspired the book.

Whether they're funny or sweet, these titles are all great for kids taking their first steps for reading. So without further ado...here are my five favorite easy readers of 2024.
