Orq the cave boy loves his woolly mammoth pet, Woma. But Mother is not a fan. “Woma shed. Woma smell. Woma not house-trained.” Orq devises a plan to teach Woma amazing tricks so Mother will be impressed and let him stay in the cave, but the plan backfires with comedic results. However, when a saber-tooth tiger decides he wants Orq for dinner, Woma gets his chance to play the hero. A sweet prehistoric friendship tale with humorous illustrations and fun “caveman speech.”
