Little crocodile has lots of brothers and sisters. He looks like his siblings, but unlike them, he doesn't like water. Determined to overcome his fear, the little crocodile tries a floating device, and that helps a little, but he still doesn't enjoy the feeling of being wet. Time and a stuffy nose help him to finally discover his true self and embrace his unique abilities. Merino tells this funny remake of the Ugly Duckling with just the right balance of text and visual storytelling. Her little cartoon crocodiles are expressive and amusing and succinct text printed with creative typesetting pulls the reader along to a delightful conclusion.
