Mogie's brothers and sisters are chosen to do important work as guide dogs or rescue dogs, but Mogie is too free spirited for those kinds of jobs. One day he wanders into a Ronald McDonald house for sick children. Dogs are not usually permitted in the house, but Mogie doesn't know that. He goes right up to sad and lonely Gage, and helps to cheer him up. With Mogie's help, Gage finds the will to fight to get well. Rosenthal's characteristic watercolor and ink cartoon illustrations catch the lively spirit of the little boy and the irrepressible pet. Dog aficionados of all ages with enjoy this heart warming true story about the power of "puppy" love.
