When Widow Tulip Jones comes to inherit a nice ranch in Texas, she packs up her three servants and all her unusual pets and heads out for grand new adventures. However, all the single men in the state of Texas decide that a woman in possession of a great fortune must be in want of a husband. Pretty soon, Tulip and her staff are run ragged just trying to deal with all the suitors. Written in the style of a tall tale, this story is a hilarious and irreverent western romp that readers both young and old will love.

Whether they're funny or sweet, these titles are all great for kids taking their first steps for reading. So without further ado...here are my five favorite easy readers of 2024.
