Big bear is tired and needs to sleep! Old Man Winter keeps whispering to Big Bear that he needs to go to sleep, but big bear is having a hard time hearing. Instead of hearing the words sleep he hears funny things like leap and dive deep. This is a fun book that is sure to make its reader laugh at the silly things bear does. Also the illustrations are beautiful. The Old Man Winter is done very well and I loved the color scheme. This is Maureen Wright’s first book and it’s a good one! Make sure to check it out!

Whether they're funny or sweet, these titles are all great for kids taking their first steps for reading. So without further ado...here are my five favorite easy readers of 2024.
