In this cute, simple book, four little puppies use their imaginations to have tons of fun during a day of playtime. They also make a terrible mess! This is a fun, simple story that young children will enjoy, especially the parts where the puppies are making simple things into great adventures. Written and illustrated by the wonderful Leslie Patricelli in her signature style, featuring simple shapes and roughly painted vivid colors, this picture book is sure to please.

Whether they're funny or sweet, these titles are all great for kids taking their first steps for reading. So without further ado...here are my five favorite easy readers of 2024.
