The storekeeper advises Max to think carefully, but Max just spouts off his heart's desire, "a real live dog". Of course we all know that wishes never come true exactly as you want them to. Will Max make things better or worse by returning to Wishworks, Inc.? These adventures along with recently divorced parents, being in a new school and not having any friends makes life a little stressful for young Max.
