I Love My New Toy! by Mo Willems

Mo Willems has done a superb job again with his two new books in the An Elephant and Piggie Series. "I Love My New Toy!" is a story about Piggie's new toy. One day Elephant throws is high into the air a breaks it! After being anger, worried, and crying the friends are able to work things out. "I Will Surprise My Friend!" is a story about a new game the two decide to play. However, the surprise goes bad when each of the friends can't find the other one. Both books are in the same format as the other books in the series and are funny and entertaining. Check out these two new easy readers titles and also check out the other books in the Elephant and Piggie series. You won't be dissapointed.

They both look fab stories - thanks for the review. I'm always on the hunt for great children's books and have recently discovered Bayard and their series of StoryBoxBooks, AdventureBoxBooks and DiscoveryBoxBooks (which is a special Olympic edition) They have work by acclaimed children's books illustrator Helen Oxenbury appearing in the Storybox series for September. You Need to Read: Percy Jackson

I was a kid myself when  The Lightning Thief  by Rick Riordan was published, and it didn't take long for the Percy Jackson series to take the world by storm. Being the son of a Poseidon, Percy Jackson has some unique challenges as a half-blood. Here's some books that I think could've helped Percy when he was on his adventures trying to save the world: Greeking Out: Heroes and Olympians Written by Kenny Curtis and Jillian Hughes Illustrated by Javier Espila Washington D.C.: National Geographic, 2024. Informational. 191 pages. Percy, I know Chiron did a good job teaching you about mythology in Latin class, but this book is sure to be good to have on hand while you're traveling across the United States. Greeking Out  is written in a kid-friendly voice with vivid illustrations and a sometimes-snarky tone (much like Percy himself).
