It is spring (well, at least according to the calendar). And when it is spring I often think of cute little animals—including bunnies. Here are some of my favorite bunny books that were published recently. Enjoy!

I love reading this bunny book out loud! It is all about cute little bunnies that wiggle—and readers can wiggle and bounce along with the bunnies (which just may be my favorite part!). The rhymes are fun for littles learning about rhythm and rhymes and the illustrations are simply adorable.

I couldn’t not include an Easter Bunny book in this bunny list. And this is a pretty silly one. Readers are introduced to a bunny that the narrator suspects is the Easter Bunny. The bunny emphatically denies being associated with the holiday (though readers see that at the end the bunny really is the famous egg-hiding master). A fun book for readers who love the spring holiday and being able to see that what they read isn’t always what is happening.

Two bunnies have different views on books. Pip loves reading while Bun thinks books are boring. When Bun can’t wait to play with Pip, Bun learns about some of the adventures that are found in a book—which eventually leads to Bun also loving books (though not as quietly as Pip). This is a cute bunny book about moving, sharing stories, and being together.

This is a fun book about how one bunny is one bunny until that bunny is joined by another bunny (and then more and more bunnies). Kids who are trying to figure out the concept of an individual verses a group and how groups can be made up of a lot of individuals will enjoy this book.

Boulder and Cactus are friends. And Boulder desperately wants to be close to Cactus in time to see the cactus’ flowers bloom. Only, Boulder can’t move very well. Fortunately, there is a bunny that knows Boulder’s wish and is able to move Boulder. This is a sweet story about working hard and doing something nice just for the sake of being a nice bunny. So sweet!
