The Claus Brothers' Toy Shop is a family business run by Nicky Claus and his three uncles. They make toys for the children in town. These aren't just any toys, these toys have a magic sparkle that makes it so each child ends up with the toy that is perfect for them. One day, a young girl is outside looking through the glass at all the toys. Nicky notices her and decides to follow her, discovering that she, along with a group of other children, live on the streets. He decides that he wants to give each of these children a special toy, since they can't afford to get one for themselves. From this idea is born a whole Christmas operation!

This is a great origin story of Santa Claus and the steps that lead Nicky to become Father Christmas. This book is a perfect family read-aloud focused on the spirit of giving at Christmas. David Litchfield provides beautiful illustrations and a heartwarming story to ring in the Christmas season.
