I Don't Believe It, Archie!
by Andrew Norriss, illustrated by Hannah Shaw
Random House, 2012. 124 pgs. Intermediate
Archie is the kind of person things happen to. Strange things. Whenever he leaves the house to play or to run an errand for his mom, he will maybe see a runaway piano whizzing down the street, or accidentally get glued to the doors of the public library, or save a dog whose owner's think he killed it. Somehow, by guess or by golly, Archie sets all these things right but is endlessly in trouble with his mother for never finishing the task he was sent to do. Big laughs here for the beginning chapter book set about the luckiest unlucky boy you will ever meet.
