Every Friday is a picture book about a father and son. Every Friday they spend time together by going walking to a diner, eating breakfast and talking. On the way they observe what is happening in the city. There are new buildings being built, people saying hello, and dogs on the street. The story is quite basic, but the illustrations are wonderful. This is a book I would recommend to any father and son duo looking for a book to read together at the library.

Will begs to be included, but his mother is reluctant to let him go. After input from the entire family, they decide that Will is ready for the responsibility.
