Nobody is Perfick was originally published in 1971. The book has held up over the past four decades because the humorous frustrations that come with childhood really haven’t changed -- you still have to sit up straight in class; friends still have secret diaries; it’s always hard not to daydream when you have homework to do.

This J Intermediate is easy and accessible. It’s a quick read of silly, illustrated vignettes about the shortcomings and annoyances of being a kid. The punchlines to the jokes are funny but they’re also reassuring in their universality -- after all, nobody is perfect.

Great news for adventurous, imaginative tweens: we are starting a Dungeons & Dragons program!
