Your favorite crayons are back!  Daywalt's followup to his wildly successful debut book, The Day the Crayons Quit, does not disappoint.  Young Duncan's crayons are as disgruntled and laugh-out-loud funny as ever, taking us on a wild, globetrotting adventure from the depths of darkness in Duncan's basement to the far reaches of the Egyptian pyramids.  We have the pleasure of meeting several unusual and neglected crayon characters, including  Maroon Crayon, Pea Green Crayon, Neon Red Crayon, and even Glow-in-the-Dark Crayon.  In their postcards from afar, they bemoan the challenges of being a crayon, having been lost, forgotten, sat upon, broken, eaten, puked up by the dog, and even melted to a stinky sock in the dryer!  But all they desperately desire is to get HOME to the crayon box.  Sure to delight both children and adults, The Day the Crayons Came Home is destined to be a new picture book favorite.
