Melissa Caughey, author of the award-winning blog Tilly’s Nest, writes in an engaging, easy-to-read way, but doesn’t leave out any of the important practical details chicken owners will need to know. She offers a list of best breeds for different climates and families and includes tons of great photos of chickens as well as their coops, feeders, etc. Especially fun are all the recipes she includes, both the human kind - to use up all those wonderful fresh eggs - and recipes for chicken treats and toys.
