Sasquatch is a very handsomely-dressed creature riding the public bus. He requests of the driver, Mr. Blobule, to please make sure the bus doesn't get too crowded, because he does not like to be squished. A variety of interesting passengers board along the route, including Miss Elephant Shark, Mr. Octo-Rhino, and more. The bus driver repeatedly warns them to not squish the Sasquatch. When overcrowding on the bus leads to the inevitable squishing, the animals decide they must SMOOCH the Sasquatch to make him feel better! This picture book is silly and imaginative. Redeker's story is a fun read aloud for young ones, and is enhanced by Staake's quirky, lively illustrations.

Faces of the Moon by Bob Crelin Illustrated by Leslie Evans Charlesburg; 2009; unpaged Faces of the Moon is a short nonfiction book that describes the different phases of the moon and why the moon appears like it does on certain nights. This book is short and sweet so even the youngest of moon lovers will enjoy it. The layout is simplistic and easy to follow. I don’t know much about the moon so I found it very interesting.
