Inspired by Russian folk tales, this is the story of a little girl named Natasha living a happy life in the Blue Forest. But when her mother dies and her father indulges her every wish, she forgets what it means to be grateful or humble.

When a powerful old woman with a magical blue bird offers her a single wish, Natasha wishes for an enchanted palace with all the riches she could ever imagine. The only stipulation is that she can never leave. Will Natasha ever tire of her solitary life in the palace?

The gorgeous and richly colored illustrations add an exotic and dreamlike quality to this contemporary fable about the joys of love, gratefulness, and giving.
