Cutesy, Blinky, and Bob are three squirrels who live at the zoo, though not as official residents. They see the attention given to all the other animals and dream that someday they'll be in the spotlight, too. They raid the humans' lost and found and don silly accessories, but no one notices because they are too busy watching the zebras chew grass. They try other things, such as outrunning the cheetah and outswimming the piranhas, but to no avail. Finally, Bob has a whopper of an idea: sneak through the cage bars and steal the attention from right inside the zoo animals' habitats! Oh, Nuts! makes for a funny read-aloud. Not a classic, but kids will like the hyper trio. The book's frenetic pace, zippy colors/characters, and silly humor are like a cartoon show in the making.
