A picture book all about one of the world's favorite condiments - soy sauce! Three East Asian kids - Luan, Haru, and Yoo-Mi - express their love for the rich, umami sauce and share how they make and what it means to their family! 

Dynamic illustrations, rhyming verse, and a careful integration of the two makes for a perfectly enthusiastic read-aloud picture book. The illustrations, which include the use of soy sauce as paint, are fun and expressive. Classroom extensions for this book basically write themselves -- this is a must-see for little foodies.
