Through simple text, this book explains mostly everything about the game. Even if you have never watched a hockey game, you could read this book and understand what is happening on the ice. What makes this book stand out is the hilarious commentary by the little cartoon boy talking to real pictures of hockey players (see image below). There are two more books in the series--My First Book of Baseball and My First Book of Football--that I will have to check out as well; who knows, maybe I will finally understand baseball. Adults and kids alike will enjoy knowing more about this fast-paced sport

A great book to show children how a community rallied to make a positive change and that even a small gesture can make a huge difference. A great discussion opener on how we should treat each other.
